Why homemade soap?
Have you ever looked at the ingredients list on the bar of soap you use, and wondered if all of those ingredients were necessary? Ever read an older book, maybe like Laura Ingalls Wilder, and wondered if soap could be that simple again? Good news - it can!
I made the switch to non-toxic soaps a long time ago, but what first drew me in was the ability to make good, clean, family-friendly soaps beautiful. As I began exploring the possibilities, I got excited to make simple, beautiful soaps that are safe for you, your kids, and your grandma!
I have made soap with both a Lard and a Tallow base, both of which are so smooth, creamy, and luxurious to use! I've also made a dish & laundry soap, with incredible grease-busting power, and a shampoo bar that I've been using for over a year that has my hair feeling better than it has in decades!
