Get to know me!
Hello, and welcome to my little corner of the internet! I’m so excited that you’re here, and I look forward to getting to know you and joining you on your journey to a toxin-free life! In the meantime, here’s a little bit about me, and how I got here.
Growing up on a small farm in SW Wisconsin, I picked up so many skills that have served me for years to come - working with my parents in the family business, and keeping up with our family homestead (horses, chickens, dairy & beef cows, and a huge garden). At age 18, after several months of unexplained illness, I was diagnosed with a very rare, but thankfully curable, form of cancer. My diagnosis led our whole family faster and farther down the path to a toxin-free home and life - we grew more of our own food, ditched the last remnants of toxic cleaners and products in the house, and dug deep into what we could do to help me recover from each chemo treatment, and to encourage and support long-term recovery. A year and a half after my last chemo treatment, I packed my Honda Accord full to the brim and moved to Kansas City to work for some friends. Some of the things we were doing as a family in the wake of my cancer journey got left-behind when I moved (it’s tricky to grow a garden when you’re living in someone’s guest room, and farm-fresh eggs and meat are more than tricky to afford working in fast food!) but some things I brought with me every step of the way, and one of the things that has stayed consistent through every move and stage of life since then has been my oils!
I met my now-husband, John, in the summer of 2014, and he asked me out on Valentine’s Day of 2015. That summer, he got a dramatic and very amusing introduction to oils - it’s too much to tell here, so ask me about it some time! We’ve been married since June 2016, and now have two beautiful little boys that keep us on our toes! If you stick around for a little while, you’ll see that I do my best to keep everyone oiled up on the DAILY!
